Greta Coleman has always been driven by a passion for competition, hard work, and connecting with people.

Born and raised in Kitsap County as a 4th generation Washingtonian, Greta’s journey from student-athlete to attorney reflects her dedication to excellence in every facet of life.

Whether on the field or in the courtroom, Greta knows that preparation and determination are the keys to success.

Greta’s path began at Kingston High School, where she graduated in 2012 as a standout multi-sport athlete.

She went on to earn an athletic scholarship to Bloomfield College in New Jersey, where she played collegiate softball and graduated with a BA in Business in 2016. Greta’s love for the Pacific Northwest brought her back home to attend Gonzaga University School of Law, where she earned her JD in 2020 with pro bono distinction. During law school, she volunteered with the Moderate Means Program, served as a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, and gained hands-on experience as a student attorney for the Low-Income Tax Clinic.

Her legal career began at the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office, where she served as a deputy prosecuting attorney for three years. During that time, she managed the county’s DUI caseload, acted as city prosecutor for the City of Poulsbo, and gained valuable experience in the felony general trial unit and special assault unit. Her work ranged from handling unranked felonies to navigating third-strike violent offenses, all while honing her skills as an advocate and litigator.

As a prosecutor, Greta saw unique insights into the criminal justice system, from how cases are built to the strategies employed in negotiations and trials. However, she found herself increasingly drawn to defense work, where she could focus on the individuals behind the cases. Greta believes that every client deserves an advocate who views their story as more than just a case number.

Greta’s dedication to her clients extends beyond the courtroom. Greta is a member of the Kitsap County Bar Association, where she has served as the Young Lawyer Trustee since 2022. She has completed training in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) and participated in DUI detection wet-labs, ensuring she stays at the forefront of DUI defense techniques.

When Greta steps into the courtroom, she brings the same competitive spirit that drove her as a student-athlete. She prepares relentlessly, advocates passionately, and fights for justice for every client.

In her free time, Greta enjoys golfing, paddleboarding, and spending time outdoors with her family and her dog, Beau-Jacque. She also loves supporting locally owned businesses and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Greta Coleman is proud to serve her community, combining her dedication and compassion to make a difference one case at a time.
